This has been the wettest year on record. Whilst no major flooding has, so far, occurred, there has been enough rain for the catchment to keep the swamp covered.
Waders, cormorants and pelicans have been regular visitors. Raptors visit regularly to keep an eye out for unwary chics, fish and small rodents.
Our wildlife trail camera has spotted possums, wallabies, kangaroos and foxes. So far we have not seen any cats or other feral animals hopefully it stays that way .
